Earth Day, April 22, New York, New York
It was a fine day to announce the official opening of Earth Advertising public relations and media firm today in Manhattan.
In the dark Hall of Ocean Life at The Museum of Natural History, Mayor Bloomberg unveiled a plan for a greener, greater New York City that could make the Big Apple the big cheese of green cities. He challenged the crowd to support sweeping environmental initiatives without delay including a 30% reduction in carbon emissions. “If we don’t act now, when?” he asked, “If we don’t act, who will?”
Outside where it was bright and warm, people flocked to Central Park to the Green Apple Music & Arts Festival, rode bikes and soaked up the sun. (photos by Earth Advertising)
