Martha ShawMartha is the founder of eFlicks Media and Earth Advertising, a full service communications collaborative known for successful pr and advertising campaigns in all mediums.

During her 20-year career in media communications, Martha has served in the capacity of executive creative director, copywriter and department manager in major U.S. and Pacific Rim advertising agencies. She has won top industry awards in e-media, radio, tv, print, outdoor and field marketing, including Adweek Creative All-Star, the Radio Mercury Award, New York One Show, LA Belding, San Diego Best of Show, and New England Broadcast Awards Best of Show.

Her campaigns are often featured in the news, and are recognized for clarity, impact, quality of recall, entertainment value, and often whimsical style. They include ZipCar, Dell, Lexus, Apple, McDonald’s, Commonwealth of Massachusetts, City of San Diego, Disney Channel, Universal Pictures, Marshalls,Talbots, the Boston Globe and hundreds of other clients.

For over a decade, Ms. Shaw contributed to the branding of Stonyfield Farm as the company expanded its all-natural yogurt, ice cream and soy product line, to organic. Clever messaging on lids, billboards, radio, field stations, packaging, print, tv, newsletters, coupons, trade publications, and the internet encouraged customers to buy food that supports the environment that makes it possible. During this time, the company grew from $10 million to $90 million in sales.

She publishes articles that embrace the topic of oceans, clean tech, energy, water, air, soil quality, green building and other environmental topics while celebrating people who participate in solutions to protect the planet for future generations.

Martha holds an undergraduate and graduate degree in Earth Science with a
research background at Scripps Institution of Oceanography. She began her career in media as a publicist for San Diego County Water Authority and San Diego Department of Health while working at PBS.

She serves on the advisory boards of New England Aquarium, New York Hall of
Science, Martha’s Vineyard Television, Manhattan Prospect, Sundance: Investing in Media That Matters and is a member of NY Environmental Business Association, Explorers Club, Co-Op America, Social Venture Network, and a dozen other organizations that support a green economy.

Martha launched Earth Advertising to broaden the capabilities of her production business eFlicks Media to support more green clients, the largest of which is the Earth.
